  • 1 package (3 oz) strawberry Jello gelatin
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • 1 container (8 oz) whipped topping (Cool Whip), thawed
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven and prepare the cake batter as directed on the box.
  2. Pour batter into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish and bake according to package instructions. Let cake cool slightly.
  3. Using a fork or skewer, poke holes all over the cake.
  4. In a bowl, dissolve the strawberry Jello in 1 cup boiling water. Stir in 1/2 cup cold water.
  5. Pour the Jello mixture evenly over the cake, letting it soak into the holes.
  6. Refrigerate the cake for at least 3 hours or until Jello is set.
  7. Spread whipped topping evenly over the cake.
  8. Top with fresh sliced strawberries before serving.
