Salted Caramel Brownies

Rich and fudgy chocolate brownies swirled with luscious salted caramel, creating the perfect sweet and salty dessert.

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter
  • 2 1/4 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 1/4 cups unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt flakes (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Remove from heat and stir in sugar, cocoa powder, salt, baking powder, and vanilla.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time until smooth and glossy.
  4. Stir in the flour until just combined, then fold in chocolate chips.
  5. Pour half of the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  6. Drizzle half of the caramel sauce over the batter and swirl with a knife.
  7. Spread the remaining brownie batter on top and drizzle with the rest of the caramel. Swirl again.
  8. Sprinkle with sea salt flakes.
  9. Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  10. Cool completely before cutting into squares.

  • Let brownies cool fully before slicing to avoid a gooey mess.
  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days.
  • Optional: Warm individual pieces slightly before serving for an extra gooey texture.
