- 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice, plus more for serving
 
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
 
- 2 tablespoons sugar (adjust to taste)
 
- 1 cup milk (any kind)
 
- 1/2 cup strong coffee or 1–2 shots of espresso

- In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine pumpkin puree, pumpkin pie spice, and sugar. Cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly, until fragrant and well combined.
 
- Whisk in the milk and vanilla extract. Heat until hot but do not boil.
 
- Remove from heat and use a whisk or milk frother to froth the mixture if desired.
 
- Pour the hot coffee or espresso into a mug and add the pumpkin milk mixture on top.
