Mint Lemonade

A refreshing and tangy drink made with fresh mint leaves and lemon juice, perfect for hot summer days.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh mint leaves (tightly packed)
  • 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice (about 45 lemons)
  • 1/3 cup sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 3 cups cold water
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • Lemon slices, for garnish (optional)
  • Mint sprigs, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a blender, combine the fresh mint leaves, lemon juice, sugar, and 1 cup of water. Blend until smooth.
  2. Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve to remove pulp, if desired.
  3. Pour the strained mixture into a pitcher and add the remaining 2 cups of cold water.
  4. Add ice cubes and stir well.
  5. Serve chilled in glasses garnished with lemon slices and mint sprigs, if desired.

Notes

  • Adjust sugar based on your taste or use honey or a sugar substitute for a healthier option.
  • You can prepare the mint-lemon concentrate in advance and refrigerate for up to 2 days.
  • For a fizzy version, substitute some or all of the water with sparkling water.
