Matcha Latte Recipe

A creamy and energizing Matcha Latte made with finely ground green tea powder, steamed milk, and a touch of sweetness. Perfect for a morning boost or a relaxing afternoon sip.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 tsp matcha green tea powder
  • 2 oz hot water (not boiling, about 175°F / 80°C)
  • 6 oz milk of choice (dairy, almond, oat, soy, etc.)
  • 12 tsp honey or sweetener of choice (optional)

Instructions

  1. Sift the matcha powder into a mug or bowl to remove any clumps.
  2. Add the hot water and whisk vigorously in a zigzag motion until the matcha is fully dissolved and frothy.
  3. Heat the milk in a saucepan or steam it using a milk frother until hot and slightly frothy.
  4. Pour the milk into the matcha mixture and stir gently to combine.
  5. Add sweetener to taste, if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use ceremonial grade matcha for a smoother, more vibrant flavor.
  • Non-dairy milk alternatives like oat or almond milk froth well and add unique flavor notes.
  • Adjust sweetness and matcha strength to preference.
