A rich and creamy maple fudge made with real maple syrup, perfect for a sweet treat or homemade gift.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups pure maple syrup
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment paper and set aside.
  2. In a heavy-bottomed saucepan, combine the maple syrup, heavy cream, butter, and salt.
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
  4. Attach a candy thermometer to the side of the pan and continue cooking until the mixture reaches 238°F (soft-ball stage).
  5. Remove from heat and let the mixture cool undisturbed to about 110°F.
  6. Add the vanilla extract and beat the mixture by hand or with a mixer until it thickens and loses its gloss (about 10 minutes).
  7. Quickly pour the fudge into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
  8. Allow to cool completely at room temperature before cutting into squares.

Notes

  • Use only pure maple syrup for authentic flavor.
  • Do not stir while the fudge is cooling to avoid crystallization.
  • Store in an airtight container for up to two weeks.
