Grilled Peaches with Honey

Simple summer dessert of lightly charred peach halves finished with warm honey and a hint of cinnamon.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 ripe peaches, halved and pitted
  • 2 Tbsp honey, plus extra for serving
  • 1 Tbsp melted unsalted butter (optional)
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • Pinch of flaky sea salt

Instructions

  1. Pre-heat an outdoor grill or grill pan to medium-high (about 400 °F / 200 °C). Brush the grates clean and lightly oil them.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, melted butter (if using), and cinnamon.
  3. Brush the cut sides of each peach half with the honey mixture and sprinkle with a pinch of sea salt.
  4. Place peaches cut-side down on the grill. Cook for 3–4 minutes until grill marks appear.
  5. Flip and grill the skin side for another 2 minutes until the flesh is tender but not collapsing.
  6. Transfer to a platter. Drizzle with additional warm honey and serve immediately—plain, over yogurt, or with vanilla ice cream.

Notes

  • Choose peaches that are ripe but still firm so they hold their shape on the grill.
  • Add a sprig of fresh thyme or rosemary to the honey while warming for an herbal twist.
  • For a vegan version, replace butter with neutral oil or omit it entirely.
  • Leftover grilled peaches store well in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days; they’re great stirred into oatmeal.
