Grilled BBQ Chicken Breasts

Juicy grilled chicken breasts slathered in smoky BBQ sauce, perfect for summer cookouts or weeknight dinners.

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Pound chicken breasts to even thickness for consistent cooking.
  3. Brush chicken with olive oil, then season with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  4. Place chicken on grill and cook for 6-7 minutes per side, or until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  5. During the last few minutes of grilling, brush BBQ sauce generously on both sides of the chicken.
  6. Remove from grill and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Use a meat thermometer to ensure chicken is fully cooked.
  • Marinate chicken in BBQ sauce for 30 minutes before grilling for extra flavor.
  • Use indirect heat if BBQ sauce starts to burn.
