Dairy-Free Mango Panna Cotta

A creamy and tropical twist on the classic Italian dessert, this Dairy-Free Mango Panna Cotta is made without dairy but remains smooth and luscious with vibrant mango flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 cups mango puree (fresh or canned)
  • 1 1/2 cups coconut milk (full fat)
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup or agave nectar
  • 2 tsp agar-agar powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine coconut milk, maple syrup, agar-agar powder, and salt. Stir well.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, then reduce to a simmer for 3-5 minutes, stirring continuously to activate the agar-agar.
  3. Remove from heat and mix in the vanilla extract and mango puree until well combined.
  4. Pour the mixture into serving glasses or molds and let it cool to room temperature.
  5. Refrigerate for at least 2-4 hours or until set.
  6. Serve chilled. Optionally, top with extra mango puree or fresh mango slices.

Notes

  • Use ripe mangoes for best flavor and natural sweetness.
  • Do not use gelatin if keeping this recipe vegan—agar-agar is the plant-based alternative.
  • You can substitute other non-dairy milks, but full-fat coconut milk gives the creamiest texture.
