- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 2 tablespoons fresh basil, chopped (optional)
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat and sear chicken until golden brown on both sides and cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute.
- Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine.
- Add Parmesan cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, and Italian seasoning. Simmer for 5–7 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Return chicken to the skillet and spoon sauce over the top. Simmer for 3–5 more minutes to heat through.
- Garnish with fresh basil before serving, if using.
Notes
- Serve with pasta, rice, or crusty bread to soak up the sauce.
- You can substitute sun-dried tomatoes in oil with dry-packed ones, but rehydrate them first.
- Use half-and-half instead of heavy cream for a lighter version.
