Classic Mojito (Mocktail)

A refreshing and zesty non-alcoholic version of the classic Mojito, perfect for hot days or as a party drink for all ages.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 10 fresh mint leaves
  • 1/2 lime, cut into 4 wedges
  • 2 tablespoons white sugar (or to taste)
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • 1/2 cup soda water (club soda)
  • 1/2 cup cold water (optional, to dilute)
  • Lime slices and mint sprigs for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place mint leaves and 1 lime wedge into a sturdy glass.
  2. Use a muddler to crush the mint and lime to release the mint oils and lime juice.
  3. Add 2 more lime wedges and the sugar, and muddle again to release more juice.
  4. Fill the glass with ice cubes.
  5. Pour soda water (and cold water if desired) over the ice.
  6. Stir well to mix the flavors.
  7. Garnish with a lime slice and a sprig of mint if desired.
  8. Serve immediately and enjoy.

Notes

  • Adjust sugar based on your sweetness preference.
  • For extra zest, add a splash of lemon juice.
  • Crushed ice can be used for a slushier texture.
  • Use flavored soda for a twist (e.g., lemon-lime or ginger).
