Cilantro Lime Chicken Wraps

These cilantro lime chicken wraps are a fresh and flavorful meal, perfect for a light lunch or dinner. Marinated chicken is grilled and wrapped with crisp vegetables and a zesty cilantro-lime sauce.

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp lime juice
  • 1 tsp lime zest
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 4 large flour tortillas or wraps
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 avocado, sliced (optional)
  • 1/4 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
  • 1 tbsp mayonnaise (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix olive oil, lime juice, lime zest, garlic, cumin, chili powder, salt, pepper, and chopped cilantro.
  2. Add chicken breasts to the marinade, coat well, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Grill or pan-cook the chicken over medium heat for 6–7 minutes per side or until fully cooked. Let rest, then slice thinly.
  4. Warm tortillas slightly for flexibility.
  5. Spread sour cream or Greek yogurt (and mayonnaise if using) on each tortilla.
  6. Layer with lettuce, tomatoes, red onion, avocado slices, and grilled chicken.
  7. Wrap tightly and slice in half before serving.

Notes

  • Use Greek yogurt instead of sour cream for a lighter version.
  • Add jalapeños for a spicy kick.
  • Can be made ahead and stored in the fridge for a quick grab-and-go meal.
