Chocolate-Dipped Strawberries

Fresh strawberries dipped in smooth, melted chocolate for a simple yet elegant dessert.

  • 1 pound fresh strawberries, washed and dried
  • 8 ounces semi-sweet chocolate (or dark/milk chocolate), chopped
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil or butter (optional, for shine)

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Wash strawberries and dry them completely to ensure chocolate sticks well.
  3. In a heatproof bowl, melt chocolate with coconut oil over a double boiler or in the microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  4. Hold each strawberry by the stem and dip into the melted chocolate, allowing excess to drip off.
  5. Place dipped strawberries onto the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Refrigerate for about 30 minutes, or until the chocolate is set.

Notes

  • Make sure strawberries are completely dry before dipping, or the chocolate may seize.
  • You can drizzle with white chocolate for decoration.
  • Best served the same day for freshness.
