Caprese Salad Skewers

Caprese Salad Skewers are a fresh and easy appetizer made with cherry tomatoes, mozzarella balls, and fresh basil, drizzled with balsamic glaze.

Ingredients

  • 1 pint cherry tomatoes
  • 1 pint mozzarella balls (bocconcini or ciliegine)
  • 1 bunch fresh basil leaves
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic glaze
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Skewers or toothpicks

Instructions

  1. Wash the cherry tomatoes and basil leaves.
  2. Drain the mozzarella balls.
  3. Thread one cherry tomato, one basil leaf (folded if large), and one mozzarella ball onto each skewer or toothpick.
  4. Repeat until all ingredients are used.
  5. Arrange skewers on a serving platter.
  6. Drizzle with balsamic glaze and olive oil (if using).
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Notes

  • Use heirloom cherry tomatoes for more color variety.
  • Can be made a few hours ahead and chilled until serving.
  • Add a drizzle of pesto for extra flavor.
