- 1 pint cherry tomatoes
- 1 pint mozzarella balls (bocconcini or ciliegine)
- 1 bunch fresh basil leaves
- 2 tablespoons balsamic glaze
- 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Skewers or toothpicks
- Wash the cherry tomatoes and basil leaves.
- Drain the mozzarella balls.
- Thread one cherry tomato, one basil leaf (folded if large), and one mozzarella ball onto each skewer or toothpick.
- Repeat until all ingredients are used.
- Arrange skewers on a serving platter.
- Drizzle with balsamic glaze and olive oil (if using).
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Notes
- Use heirloom cherry tomatoes for more color variety.
- Can be made a few hours ahead and chilled until serving.
- Add a drizzle of pesto for extra flavor.
