Brownies

Rich, fudgy brownies with a deep chocolate flavor and a moist, chewy texture. Perfect for dessert or a sweet snack.

  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×9 inch baking pan or line with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the butter in a medium saucepan. Remove from heat and stir in sugar, eggs, and vanilla.
  3. Beat in cocoa, flour, salt, and baking powder until well combined.
  4. Spread the batter evenly in the prepared pan.
  5. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  6. Allow to cool in the pan before cutting into squares.

Notes

  • For extra fudgy brownies, bake for the shorter time.
  • You can add chocolate chips or chopped nuts for extra texture.
  • Let brownies cool completely before slicing for cleaner edges.
