Banana Chocolate Chip Cake

A moist and flavorful banana chocolate chip cake that combines ripe bananas with rich chocolate chips for a delightful dessert or snack.

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×9 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix mashed bananas and melted butter until well combined.
  3. Add sugar, egg, and vanilla extract, and mix well.
  4. Sprinkle baking soda and salt over the mixture and stir in.
  5. Mix in the flour until just incorporated.
  6. Fold in chocolate chips.
  7. Pour batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. Allow to cool in the pan before slicing and serving.
